How to Fix: Google Drive Not Playing Videos?

Remove Browsing Data


To remove the browsing data, follow these steps:

  1. Firstly, invoke the Google Chrome browser on your system.

  2. After that, click on the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the top right side of the screen.

  3. Then choose the More Tools option.

  4. You should reach the section of the sub-menu and select the ‘Clear Browsing Data’ option.

  5. Go to the Advanced section. Click on the time range option of All-time.

  6. Thereafter, click on the categories option for that you would like to remove data.

  7. Later, select the button of Clear Data when you have done it.

  8. Now, once you verify the actions, reopen Chrome and check whether you can play the videos on Google Chrome.

Launch the Video in Different Window

  6. Thereafter, click on the ‘Turn on Sync’ option.

  7. Now, launch the Google Drive and then check whether the issue is fixed.

Download the File

Try downloading the video so that you can watch it. The steps are given below.

  1. You should open Google Drive and then choose the video.

  2. After that, select the More actions option and then choose the Download button.

  3. Finally, once you download the file of video, start it via the media application of the system.
