Downloading and installing Fortnite on Switch console

8. Touch on the ‘Free Download’ button or select it and confirm with ‘A'. The game is free to play, means you won’t be asked to your purchase it to download or play on your console. Therefore, instead of ‘Proceed to Purchase’ button, you’ll see ‘Free Download.’

9. Touch on ‘Free Download’ again to confirm.

10. Then select ‘Close’ to close the Nintendo eShop. If you want to view more games, touch ‘Continue Shopping.’

11. Now, on your console home screen, you’ll see the ‘Fortnite’ icon with the downloading bar at its bottom.

12. The game will continue to download even in the sleep mode of your console. Allows the game to download completely and until then try not to open a game or an app that need the internet connection. Using such programs may pause your downloading. You can use an app or play games in offline mode.

13. Wait for the Fortnite downloading bar to disappear and its icon to become solid.

2. Click on ‘Sign In’ and select ‘Sign Up.’

4. Open the email you’ve entered in the form and click on the given link to verify your Epic Games account creation.

5. Now, you’ll be signed in to your Epic Games account.

Start Fortnite on Nintendo Switch


1. Start your Nintendo console.

2. Touch on ‘Fortnite’ icon on the home screen.

3. Wait for the game to load.

4. Press ‘A’ to start the game.

5. Read the end-user license agreement box and press ‘Y’ to continue.
